We just posted a teaser of the upcoming Audi superbowl commercial merely an hour ago, and we just happened upon the actual full commercial! We can’t say with 100% certainty that Audi doesn’t have something else coming on gameday however, sometimes they will try and surprise us last minute.
Without further ado here is Audi’s 2012 Superbowl commercial! Please let us know what you think!

catchy!
It’s OK. Current with young folks’ interest in vampires, but bordering on “trite” I’d rather have seen some competitive history leading to the present,e.g., original Quattro running up Pikes Peak followed by some DTM shots with MBs trailing the A4s and then the new A6, Q5, A8, flying through the snow and close with a
lady in an A8L at the opera.
stupid commercial. I thought I saw a RS badge so why not have a RS style as. I should be seeing tire smoke
Absolutely ridiculous. Vampires? Really? I’ve seen better Audi ads.
Jim, I totally agree with your comment. This commercial is focusing on the tween girls that like those Twilight movies. Unless they make up the bulk demographic of Audi purchasers, why not make a commercial that appeals to actual adults? Showing the history and refinement of the cars, while still being the innovators of performance, would make for a more useful and entertaining advertisement. Plus, this ad showed more of the actors than the actual car.
It has comedic value for the purpose of brand awareness only. Audi likely banks on the fact that its audience of the potential buyers and educated enthusiasts knows about the tween girl vampire fad and that you will find Audi’s satirizing it funny. As this ad will run on Superbowl Sunday, substance does not matter as much as form. It’s all about entertainment value rather than stirring one’s passion to own and/or drive an Audi. I, for one, laughed when I saw the ad; as an Audi owner and enthusiast and as a middle=aged white collar worker, that’s probably the reaction the marketers wanted for this particular ad. I do not believe that we should expect a series of such ads in the near future; it seems like a one-off.
Creative and entertaining and current. Well played. AOA is slowly making up for those horrific ‘Streets of tomorrow’ advertisements.
What is the problem with the AD???? I thought it was funny. Its the SuperBowl, its not supposed to be ” Serious”, its a pefect commercial for the moment. Its meant to get a laugh, and to entertain. So , if you dont get it, you dont have a sense of humor. Everyone is gonna be jolly hammered and piss drunk while watching anyway, might as well get a new customer through a laugh or two.
