When you consider the idea of a commissioned build, the sort that’s a signature of Audi exclusive, one usually thinks of a car spec’d and built for a very discerning customer. Sometimes though, very special cars such as this aren’t just the brainchild of a customer with an eye for detail, but also for a dealership looking to add something very exclusive to its showroom. Exemplifying this is Audi Greenville, a South Carolina-based dealership that’s created a one-of-one RS 7 performance.
The car starts life as the already superlative example of a four-door sedan, with nearly unequaled performance on the road – and many a track – the RS7 Performance with 605-hp and up to 553 lb-ft of torque. You’ll find yourself grinning ear-to-ear or feel that single tear escaping your eye, when driving such a car.
This particular specimen features all the usual content that comes with the RS 7 performance spec : larger 21” 5-double-arm High-Gloss Black design wheels, Audi dynamic ride control – replacing the air suspension, ceramic brakes, and Sport titanium exhaust with black finishers. But that’s not all with this example – oh no, Audi Greenville has added Glacier White matte Effect with contrasting gloss Carbon optic exterior elements to yield an exciting exterior view not often seen. And the tailoring trend continues with a full Black interior featuring Mercato Blue diamond quilt stitching, supplemented with the Audi exclusive package that contains leather-covered seat base, leather covered center console, RS 7 logo floor mats, Alcantara headliner – all with Mercato Blue stitching as well. The Audi design selection package includes leather/Alcantara RS Sport seats, and Carbon Twill Blue inlays.
Also added are the sought-after and rare Audi Sport titanium exhaust by Akrapovic, Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System, Night vision assistant, Driver Assistance package with Audi adaptive cruise control with stop & go, Audi pre-sense plus, Audi active lane assist, Corner-view camera system, and High beam assistant. Lastly, the car is equipped with the Cold Weather package (heated rear seats and steering wheel), USB Cables, and very discrete Ice Silver “quattro” decals below the rear doors.
The MSRP of this car is $164,700 – not faint at all, but in reality a uniquely bespoke high-performance, high-sport and of course high luxury vehicle – the virtual paragon of its class in the League of Performance; and a simply stunning visual example. Given the time limitations of a print magazine such as quattro quarterly, this matte white commission may or may not still be available.
