Today our spy photographers in Germany captured a nearly complete 2017 Audi S5 Cabriolet at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The new B9 S5 Cabriolet, built on the latest version of the Volkswagen Group’s new MLB platform. Also known as “MLB Evo,” the most recent version of this platform will use ultra-high-strength steel, aluminum, and composites. The new 2017 Audi S5 Cabriolet will trim 200-250 pounds from the current B8 S5’s weight.
For North America, the 2017 Audi S5 Cabriolet will share the 354-Horsepower 3.0 TFSI paired with the newly developed 8-speed Tiptronic transmission and quattro all-wheel-drive found in the all-new S4.
The interior will also receive the a major update with the focal point being the new Audi Virtual Cockpit and the new MMI touch interface.
Further, down the road, there will be an even more powerful twin-turbo V6 powered RS 5 Cabriolet.
