In stock form the Audi TT RS already offers quite a bit of performance in its class, but now here’s something new to spice things up. We were very excited to be invited by MTM Taiwan to see their version of the TT RS. Mayer Motorsports (AKA MTM Taiwan) did not think the factory specs on the TT RS was exhilarating enough so they gave it an impressive makeover. They’ve upgraded the TT RS with MTM products and elevated the car to another level. After driving the car equipped with 472 HP MTM Turbo kit, how can this car not put a smile on your face when you drive it?

The TT RS just got even more exciting. It was already an amazing value, with acceleration numbers near that of a V10 Audi R8. Those numbers just got a whole lot better with the introduction of APR’s ECU upgrade that increases power to up to 414 HP and 430 TQ! Here is the official press release. One of our favorite cars here at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show was a particular Audi RS 3, built by Sportec. They dubbed it the RS 500, denoting the 500 HP tuning and engine enhancements. I’m beginning to wonder what they put in the water down there in Opelika? My guess is that they are spiking the water cooler with a mixture of Redbull and Adderall! The crew at APR never seems to take a break and they prove this once again by releasing a new video showing several different angles of an impressive 1/4 mile run in an Audi S5 fitted with their supercharger kit. We first told you about APR’s supercharger kit for the S5 back in February and now we are seeing proof to the claims.

Audi’s highly tuned 4.2L V8 as found in the RS4 and R8 has been available to aftermarket performance companies for several years now. The R8 applications have achieved impressive improvements in performance but the RS4 has proven more difficult. The RS4′s cramped engine bay and various other challenges that engineering teams face when attempting to extrapolate more power have caused RS4 owners to feel left behind. Some have even parted ways with their RS4’s for other models with more tuning potential.

Well that didn’t take long. Just last month, Bentley used a Continental Supersports convertible to set an astounding speed record for a production vehicle on the ice at 205.48 MPH. Not to be outdone, Nokian tires grabbed an RS6 sedan and strapped on some of its high speed Hakkapeliitta 7 tires and hit an astonishing 206 MPH. This certainly sounds like it has the makings of a fun back and forth contest which we will be watching closely. I’ll let the video and pictures tell the rest of the story (after the jump).

An innovative new product was unveiled during the APR distributor conference that everyone can be excited about; what will easily be one of the most powerful automotive apps in the world. APR has not yet provided a full press release, but they offered QuattroWorld an exclusive sneak peek. The product demonstration of the app through an iPhone showed multiple uses including the ability to change ECU programs, a virtual dyno, high speed data logging, fault code scanning, acceleration measurement, and much more.
This new diagnostic app is estimated to be released by Waterfest. It will initially be available for iPhone and iPad at launch, and will be expanded for availability on Android and Windows devices. What’s even more exciting? No cables…it will use Wifi for Apple products, and Bluetooth and/or Wifi for Android and Windows.

I’m going to go ahead and file this one under “Ridiculous” and call this one of the most insane Audi’s I’ve ever seen. MTM raises the bar here once again and announces a 777hp V10 Twin Turbo Audi R8 just in time for the Geneva Auto Salon. And if 777HP and a 3.0 second 0-62 MPH wasn’t good enough they added a full polished aluminum finish to the car. I guarantee the Sultan of Brunei already has dibs on this one! We all know he has a soft spot for chrome Audis. Not to be forgotten is the 472HP TT RS as well! We will bring you more information and photos from Geneva! The annual APR distributors conference is going on right now at their headquarters in Opelika, Alabama. Hundreds of people from all over the world converge on the APR headquarters to talk business, meet and greet each other and of course find out about the new products coming out from APR. This year one of the exciting announcements is a supercharger kit for the 4.2L V8 FSI engine in the S5. While we don’t have pricing yet we do know that this kit gives the S5 an astonishing boost of 146 all wheel horsepower! We’ll update this post later with the official press release once it is out. For now, here are some great shots and dyno graphs for you to check out. Update: price is $12,999, much lower than expected!
