The Audi race experience enters its second season. Enthusiastic amateur race drivers with relevant experience have the possibility once again to contest a VLN endurance championship race at the Nürburgring with a professional Audi team. On each occasion one or two drivers share an Audi R8 LMS cockpit with a professional driver such as three-time Le Mans winner Marco Werner or pros like Frank Schmickler and Florian Gruber. Electromobility on the way to market maturity: Pilot project starts in Munich model region

Audi A1 e-tron in Munich Project partners Audi, E.ON, the Munich municipal utility company Stadtwerke München (SWM) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) today sounded the starting gun for a fleet trial with electric cars in the Munich model region. By the middle of next year, 20 Audi A1 e-tron models will successively take to the region's roads and around 200 new charging stations will be installed. The "eflott" project is part of the "Model Region Electromobility Munich" sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Transport. It will address a number of issues from the data transfer between the driver, vehicle and electric filling station to the power grid. The Intercontinental Le Mans Cup marks the beginning of a new era for the Audi R15 TDI

Ingolstadt, September 3, 2010 – The 1000-kilometer race at Silverstone (Great Britain) on September 12 marks the beginning of a new era for Audi and the sports car scene: for the first time since 1992, there will be a worldwide racing series for Le Mans prototypes again. Audi Sport Team Joest will contest the series with two R15 TDI cars. Silverstone, Road Atlanta, Zhuhai – three races in three different continents at the end of the 2010 sports car season will give sports car fans a foretaste of the year 2011. Next year, a total of seven endurance races are planned for the so called "Intercontinental Le Mans Cup” (ILMC). 47 vehicles have been entered in the ILMC inaugural race at Silverstone, as many as twelve of them in the top class, LMP1, whose "king” has traditionally been the Le Mans winner. This year it was the Audi R15 TDI which is powered by a V10 TDI engine delivering about 440 kW and – as is typical for Audi – features numerous innovative technical details. The only two sport-utility vehicles Audi offers – the Audi Q5 and the Audi Q7 – earned top rankings in their luxury Crossover / SUV categories in the newly released J.D. Power and Associates Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.

Ingolstadt, July 1, 2010 - High-ranking guests, two vehicle debuts and Audi’s Le Mans winners are just some of the attractions of the brand at its DTM home round at the Norisring.

The spectators in Nuremberg will experience Audi’s Le Mans winner: the victorious Audi R15 TDI designated as car number 9, which set a new distance record at the famous Le Mans 24 Hours, will be showcased across from the Audi VIP Lounge on the "Zeppelinwiese" field his weekend. On Sunday at 1:05 p.m. the winning car will do a demo lap around the Norisring.

Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas will be guests in Nuremberg as well. The two sports car drivers who won the Le Mans 24 Hours together with Mike Rockenfeller will cheer "Rocky" on during his next DTM race and meet the audience’s wishes for autographs at the exhibition booth of the R15 TDI on Sunday.

This was true at Design Miami in Basel and Miami, and it will also be true at the Milan Furniture Fair, also commonly known as the Milan Design Week, were Audi will have a display for the first time ever.
