The Geneva Auto Show comes to a close this week and it marks the end of a show that brought us some amazing vehicles. Some of the heavy hitting Audis from this show include the highly praised Audi A3 Sedan concept, the 777HP MTM Polished aluminum R8 and a few nice Audis from Abt as well. Quattroworld was unable to attend this year, but thankfully our good friends at eGarage.com have us covered. We are looking forward to eGarage’s official launch this year and so far we like what we see! In fact, you can look forward to QuattroWorld and eGarage teaming up a bit more over the next year. By Joshua Decker – Today Audi unveiled the A3 concept sedan at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. Let’s not get too excited just yet! First we need a bit of a reality check — Though, It’s always fun to slip into a fantasy land and pretend that auto show concepts represent production versions.
So what is the production reality of the A3 sedan? Will we see it here in the USA? Definitely! Will it have 408 HP, space age LED lighting, carbon fiber wheels and grill? Probably not. Likely, the car will be produced with the milder 2.0T engine. And perhaps, if we are lucky, an efficient Clean Diesel TDI variant. Let’s hope that Audi sees fit to make quattro available in all engine packages because, no one wants to see another Frontrack only TDI. We need quattro! Sure, make it available in Frontrack for those living in sunny Southern California, but let’s be honest, an Audi without Quattro is just an upscale VW.

The info about the new Audi A3 concept sedan is coming at us fast, this new 6 1/2 minute video shows excellent detail and gives us a much more in depth look at the car than the pictures gave use. The four-seat notchback sedan integrates the full breadth of the brand’s technological expertise – from the improved MMI operating system, to the high-tech infotainment system, to the drivetrain. A five-cylinder turbo developing 300 kW (408 hp), a seven-speed S tronic and quattro permanent all-wheel drive ensure thrilling dynamics along with high fuel efficiency.

We were a bit stunned to see images of the Audi A3 Sedan concept images posted to our forums today. I guess the old media embargo doesn’t have the same meaning that I thought it did. So here is the very first look at the Audi A3 sedan concept! It looks amazing and is going to be an exciting car as it was designed with the North American market in mind. It looks almost the exact same proportions as the B5 Audi A4/S4! We are a big fan and we can’t wait to publish the full details once they are released at 7:30AM CET (11:30PM PST).
