45 days of opera, drama and concerts at 14 venues – that is the Salzburg Festival. Audi has supported this world-famous festival as the main sponsor for two decades now, promoting both its long-term planning and artistic freedom. The partnership began in 1994 with a guest performance of the Salzburg Festival in Ingolstadt. Tonight, the performers from Salzburg will once again strike the final chord for the Audi Summer Concerts of 2014.

Audi wins connectivity award

Five first-place finishes for the four rings: Those are the results of a first-ever reader survey conducted by auto motor und sport and CHIP, in which over 42,500 readers chose the best connectivity features. The awards ceremony will be held in Stuttgart on September 17.

25 years of TDI: The bestseller for efficiency

Audi is marking a very special anniversary: It was 25 years ago that the company first unveiled the TDI engine, which has since gone on to become the most successful efficiency technology on both road and racetrack. Since that time, Audi has achieved worldwide sales of around 7.5 million automobiles with a TDI engine, and at the Le Mans 24 Hours a TDI-powered model with the four rings has been first over the finishing line on eight occasions since 2006. The two latest developments in one of Audi’s main areas of innovation also embody athletic efficiency: the new, fuel-efficient 3.0 V6 TDI generation, and the Audi RS 5 TDI concept with electric charging.

Audi Twin Cup: service cum laude

The Audi driving experience center Neuburg hosted last weekend the service world of the four rings. The international finals of the Audi Twin Cup drew 75 teams of Audi technicians and service advisors to the competition. Participants from 38 countries traveled to the new driving experience center near the company headquarters in Ingolstadt, hoping to win the brand’s Service World Cup with technical know-how and customer focus. The team from USA took first place on the winners’ podium.

The Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI competition makes its potential clear – it delivers 240 kW (326 hp), combined with a powerful 650 Nm (479.4 lb-ft) of torque, and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 5.1 seconds. With the boost function active, it can take advantage of an additional 15 kW (20 hp), thereby briefly achieving an output of 255 kW (346 hp).

Jubilee at Audi: The six-millionth Audi with quattro drive rolls off the production line at the Ingolstadt plant today – only about one and a half years after the five-millionth quattro. Audi will deliver the jubilee car, an Audi SQ5* in monsoon gray metallic, to a family in the United States. This new production record demonstrates the global success of Audi quattro. Since the original quattro, the first Audi with permanent all-wheel drive in the year 1980, this technology has conquered the roads of the world. With approximately 170 quattro versions, the brand with the Four Rings offers the biggest selection of all- wheel drive vehicles amongst the premium manufacturers.

Audi: More than 50,000 cars delivered in China in one month for the first time

Audi achieved new record figures in the Chinese market in the first half of the year, increasing unit sales in China including Hong Kong and Macau by 17.8 percent to 268,666 automobiles. In June, the company for the first time passed the mark of 50,000 deliveries in one month (50,756, or plus 14.1 percent compared with the 44,479 deliveries in the prior-year month).

AUDI AG sets new half-year record with around 869,350 deliveries

With year-on-year sales growth of 11.4 percent, AUDI AG has achieved the best first half year in company history. The brand with the four rings handed over around 869,350 cars to customers in the first six months. In June alone, the company delivered around 155,450 cars worldwide, exceeding the figure in the same period last year by 10.8 percent. The premium brand grew particularly strongly in North America, increasing sales by 21.2 percent year-on-year.

Audi A6: Top scores in South Korea for crash safety and pedestrian protection

The Audi A6* received the top score of five stars in the South Korean KNCAP crash test program for its crash safety and very good pedestrian protection. This now makes the model one of the safest cars in its class in this region, too.
