Audi pays its employees a profit-sharing bonus for the year 2013

The employees of AUDI AG will receive a profit-sharing bonus once again this year. This means an average amount of €6,900 for the employees paid according to wage-tariff agreements at the two sites in Germany. On the company’s growth path, the Audi family is stronger than ever: With 73,751 employees, the Audi Group’s workforce reached a new record level at the end of 2013.

Audi Annual Press Conference: Following record deliveries in 2013 further growth for 2014

The Audi Group continues to pursue its strategic goals systematically. The Company delivered a strong set of figures for fiscal 2013: With around 1.575 million cars of the Audi brand delivered, the Ingolstadt carmaker achieved new record sales and reached the target that it had set itself for 2015 – more than 1.5 million deliveries – two years earlier than planned. Meanwhile the Audi Group increased its revenue to € 49.9 billion and again achieved an operating profit of more than € 5 billion. The operating return on sales for 2013 as a whole came to 10.1 percent, which is slightly above the strategic target corridor of eight to ten percent. The Company intends to maintain its growth in future, and between now and 2018 will be investing around € 22 billion in innovations and new technologies as well as in expanding its worldwide manufacturing structures. In Germany alone, this year the brand with the four rings will be taking on 1,500 new employees and offering apprenticeships to 750 young people.

New machinery for Audi’s Toolmaking

Even more dynamic and exact, even stronger and more efficient – since yesterday, seven new and efficient high-precision machines have been officially in operation in Audi’s Toolmaking department. Dr. Frank Dreves, Board of Management Member for Production at AUDI AG, Peter Mosch, Chairman of Audi’s Group Labor Council, and Michael Breme, Head of Toolmaking, inaugurated the new presses and milling machines. The new machines will help to keep toolmaking fit for the future at the site in Ingolstadt.

Audi presents the S3 Cabriolet. The open-top four-seater is unrivaled in its segment. Its 2.0 TFSI engine develops 221 kW (300 hp) and delivers 380 Nm (280.27 lb-ft) of torque but, with S tronic, consumes just 7.1 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (33.13 US mpg) on average (165 grams of CO2 per kilometer [265.54 g/mile]). Of course, the S3 Cabriolet also makes use of quattro permanent all-wheel drive – the perfect foundation for optimal traction and driving dynamics in all road conditions. Absolute lightweight construction and a high-performance chassis complete the profile of the Audi S3 Cabriolet, which is set to arrive in dealerships in Germany this summer.

Audi A3 g-tron: Advance sales get the green light

The Audi A3 g-tron is all set to hit the roads. Advance sales at dealerships in Germany will kick off on February 13. The basic price will be 25,900 euros. Using the Audi e-gas fuel card, customers can opt for Audi e-gas to power their A3 g-tron without impacting the environment if they wish.
