Recently AOL posted a poll asking readers to vote on what they thought was the sexiest car on the road. They were given 5 choices to pick from including the Audi A7, Mercedes Benz CLS, Porsche Panamera, Ferrari FF, and if none of these fit the bill then users could choose “other”. We have been watching this poll closely for the last two weeks and after over 17,000 votes have been cast, it appears that votes have stopped coming in any notable amount so I think it is safe to declare the Audi A7 as the winner, and crown it “The sexiest car on the road”! Creating a 100% new car is not easy, creating one that captures the admiration of so many readers is a higher accomplishment altogether. Now that is a Bold Design.

Available with the arrival of the 2012 Audi A7 in April, the Audi Connect services include voice-activated Google Earth™, Google™ Local Search, and Sirius Traffic™ information combined with Google Earth™ imagery. In addition, Audi Connect allows users to obtain real-time news, weather, and fuel prices from other providers. Audi Connect is also able to turn the vehicle into a secure mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing vehicle passengers to retrieve information on the Internet conveniently and securely.

The Audi A7 Sportback has scored a big victory: the five-door coupé has been selected the winner of the “Auto Bild” Design Summit. A distinguished jury panel evaluated the design of a total of ten new cars. The result: the Audi A7 Sportback was voted number one by a wide margin for its outstanding design.

Today we joined thousands of spectators from around the world as Audi launched their all new Audi A7 Sportback live from the ‘Pinakothek der Moderne’ art museum in Munich. It was quite a spectacle and featured many guest speakers. The A7 is meant to fill the current gap between the Audi A6 and the Audi A8. The new sportback styling is similar to that of the Porsche Panamera and other “5 door” models from other manufacturers. The styling cues of the new A7 are on the cutting edge of the Audi stylesheet and portrays a very natural progression of the Audi brand. The best news yet is that this car is confirmed to be coming to North America! We will post more updates as we receive them.
