Audi Club North America has announced the limited availability for ACNA members to join in the experience of Le Mans by attending the “Le Mans Fan Camp 2012″. As a 2 time visitor to the race, I must say that this is absolutely the best way to see the race. You will be camping out among tens of thousands of fans, and surrounded by Audi Sport fans from around the world. ACO releases exciting highlight real preview for the 80th 24 Hours of Le Mans

It is fairly difficult to describe Le Mans to someone who hasn’t been fortunate enough to be there in person. It is such an emotional event that encapsulates all that is good about motorsport enthusiasm. It is a test of man’s mental and physical abilities as well as pushing machinery and technology to their very limits. We certainly are excited for this year’s running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and watching this video give us goosebumps. We hope that you find it equally exciting! This is going to be an amazing year, and if you have ever thought about trying to make the journey I would encourage you to do everything you can to make it this year!

Audi to return to Le Mans with 4 R18s, 2 of which will be Hybrids

In an announcement this morning at the ACO Press Conference, the details regarding the entries for the 80th running of the 24 hours of Le mans were released. Despite the lack of any competition from Peugeot, who pulled out of the race last month, Audi should have a good amount of competition as there are a total of 15 cars listed in LMP1.

The crew from Audi Sport will be bringing a total of 4 cars to the race 2 hybrids led by Allan McNish and Andre Lotterer. Timo Bernhard and new driver Oliver Jarvis will lead the TDI powered R18s. The rest of the driver line ups have not been confirmed yet. Official Audi Sport Press Release is below.
