2013 allroad Pricing and Product Highlights
The new allroad is built on the B8 platform and has been modified to meet the functionality and design elements that define the iconic allroad.
With 211 horsepower, 258 pounds-foot of torque, and an eight-speed tiptronic transmission the new allroad is faster and more fuel efficient than its predecessor. In fact, the new allroad achieves better fuel economy in the city than the previous allroad achieved on the highway.
The exterior features a unique single frame grille design with vertical chrome struts, stainless steel skid plates and side sills, and raised aluminum-optic roof rails. Matte finished lower bumpers and wheel arches are standard, while a full paint finish is optional.
The Audi allroad replaces the A4 Avant starting in the 2013 model year, and is 0.6 inches wider and 2.3 inches taller with 1.5 inches greater ground clearance. The new allroad is185.9 inches in length with a wheelbase of 110.4 inches. Compared to its predecessor, the new allroad has a longer wheelbase for ride comfort and more headroom for front passengers. The allroad has 27 cubic feet of cargo space and a spacious 50 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats folded down. An optional power tailgate is available. 18-inch wheels are standard, and 19-inch wheels are optional.
The interior of the new allroad features a standard Panorama sunroof, 8-way power seats, and Aluminum Trigon inlays. Heated front seats, driver memory, a choice of three wood inlays, and a 505 watt Bang & Olufsen Sound System are optional. The allroad can also be equipped with a sports interior package featuring 12-way power front sport seats, and a three-spoke steering wheel with shift paddles.
Audi is the first company worldwide to feature factory-installed wireless internet, enabling the innovative infotainment system called Audi connect™. Previously available in the A6, A7, A8 and Q7, Audi connect will now be available on the allroad, A4 and A5 models, making Audi the only brand worldwide to feature this level of integrated internet service in the segment. For model year 2013 Audi connect will include Google Maps Street View (delayed availability). While stationary, Street View allows full 360° views of your destination or point of interest, as well as the ability to tour the inside of a building (where available). During navigation, an image of the destination will be displayed just before arrival to provide the driver with a realistic view of the destination.

Luxury version of the Outback!
No air suspension equals no sale for me! Great looking car though…
Faster? I think not.
Less passenger room. Yes.
Less cargo room. Yes.
No adjustable suspension. Yes.
What about the diesel? When we first heard about the allroad the buzz was that it is going to be available in TDI. Is this no longer the case?
We Also just heard that the VW alltrack, if produced, was going to be TDI.
Any clarification on this? The TDI will make this car. We hope this is still the case.
TDi would really seal the deal on this otherwise great revival, suits its character perfectly.
No Diesel, no Sale, disspointed .. goodbye Audi, I rather drive my 8 year old car
Faster – YES…..weighs less than the last allroad (porker) to hit our shores and has the same torque as the V6 twin turbo (258lb-ft) plus 8-speed trans which shifts faster and more efficiently.
I’m not so sure it has less room either as the current A4 is larger and about the same interior size as the old A6 allroad.
What is it with you nitwits and your air suspension anyway? Is it really that much of an advantage or really just a novelty….or just another tech item to break and cost $$$ to fix. How many will really be doing any serious offroading in this (or the previuos version) anyway?
I would really like to see it come with the 3.ol diesel though. Tons of torque and great mileage as well.
What no TDI? Tsk.
no manual?
I drove one at the allroad experience in February. I liked everything about it except the drivetrain we will get. The 2.slow + tiptronic = YAWN. Especially for $50k+ fully loaded. C’mon Audi, offer us a real enigne (3.0T or 3.0 diesel) and manual or S-tronic at least. In the UK, tiptronic isn’t an option.
With BMW announcing the F31 3 series Touring M Sport, Audi needs to wake up and bring a real performance wagon back to the US.
Geoff, I’m with ya. I had a C5 A6, and the interior on the B8′s are nearly identical in volume. Spot on for the torque and projected performance, but we’ll need to wait for an actual drive. All I ever hear people with the C5 Allroad gripe about is the air bags, certainly fun to use when they don’t rupture, but to me, it’s not a loss. They should still bring it with a manual and TDi options though. That is a fail.
I buy it if you can get it over 450 hp, figure that out and I’m sold.
AllroadRS? Now THAT would be sweet. Forgot to mention above, there should be the 3.0t from the get-go, but Audi is problably saving that for a year or two into the run. Shame.
according to Geoff, i must be a nitwit.
you can tell who the allroad owners are commenting here and i am one of them.
i do find the air suspension useful, especially in snow and off road.
i own a manual, so the tip is a FAIL.
the TDI might have tempted me, but at this point we dont have that option.
The C5 allroad, although one of the best cars I’ve ever owned, should not be the benchmark for the new “allroad” The benchmark is the C7 allroad.
