Along with myself joining the QuattroWorld team I’d like to introduce someone special. She’s a 2010 Sprint Blue S4. I placed the order on February 2nd and took delivery May 10th. Since then I’ve put just over 7,000 miles on her and I couldn’t be happier. The grin that develops immediately after accelerating isn’t an easy one to wash off. The power delivery is incredible and did I mention it’s backed by superb handling? Audi has managed to build an Autobahn burner that is easy to live with everyday in the not so Autobahn like Boston streets.

The Audi R18 TDI was released just last month. Audi hasn’t wasted much time getting this new Le Mans Prototype on the track for some much needed testing. Check out the pictures below!

I was very excited to see this video pop up on the AudiClubEspana Youtube page as I am scheduled to fly to Sicily, Italy in just a few weeks to partake in Audi’s official press launch. Having never been to that part of Italy before I was curious to know why they picked that locale. After seeing this raw footage, it is very apparent. The new Audi A6 looks perfectly at home in the rolling rustic hills and narrow, stone lined roadways. I am extremely excited to be going on this trip and you can certainly expect a full report, photos and review!

I am extremely pleased to be able to share this video with you now. It features highlights from Audi quattro’s rich motorsports history as well as a look at the quattro equipped production cars. Sit back and enjoy this video and please share it with others!

- Unchanged formation for 24 Hours of Le Mans
- 2010 Le Mans winners also race at Sebring
- Bernhard, Fässler, Kristensen and McNish form ILMC core team
Ingolstadt, January 24, 2011 – Head of Audi Motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich has managed to sign all nine drivers who mounted the podium after last year’s historical one-two-three Audi finish in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Le Mans in 2011. The drivers who compete for the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC) for Audi are also confirmed.
“Over the last few years we’ve had a very strong and harmonious driver line-up at Le Mans,” says Head of Audi Motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich. “Any one of our three cars could have won, which explains why it was our aim to compete with an unchanged driver squad at Le Mans in 2011. I’m delighted that we achieved this. Now we can concentrate solely on the development of the Audi R18 and need not integrate any new drivers into the team, which would have been associated with additional work and risks. The schedule to Le Mans is tight enough as it is.”

You thought you were having a rough morning? You know you are having a rough day when you go out to your beloved Audi and find a door ding, or perhaps a bit of frozen dew on the windshield. It was another level of “case of the Monday’s” altogether for whoever owns this Audi A3. Maybe the owner was going on a long trip and wanted to protect and preserve his car from bird poop, bumper scratches and door dings? The likely story here however is that a broken pipe sprayed directly onto the car causing this glacial Audi. Hopefully they will get this unfrozen soon. Let’s just hope they opted for the heated seats! And the good news is that at least he/she has a pretty solid excuse for being late to work!
The guys at APR continue to be in the lead in regards to releasing ECU upgrades for the new line of Audi vehicles. Not only are they winning the game in terms of quantity of products released, but they are leading in quality as well. They keep the momentum going with yet another “first” for the market, a chip upgrade for the 3.0 TFSI powered A6. My question is this? How much caffeine are they putting in the water fountain over there in Opelika? Their engineering team seems to never let up and is constantly releasing new products. Keep it up guys… I can’t wait to experience this power first hand. Enough chit chat, here is there press release:
APR is pleased to present the world’s first ECU Upgrade for the 3.0 TFSI engine in the Audi A6. After almost a year of accelerated life testing through professional motorsport racing, we are pleased to offer you an ECU recalibration that is second to none. APR’s extensive research and development provides you with a powerful ECU Upgrade with no loss of drivability or reliability. I have been looking forward to Audi’s official recap video of the 2010 running of the 24 hours of Le Mans race in which Audi Motorsport swept the podium with a 1-2-3 victory. I was there, and the emotion that was in the air couldn’t possibly be captured on video. However, Audi has done a superb job attempting to bring viewers into the emotional and excitement that surrounds the race. I’ll let the video itself do the rest of the talking. Click full screen and turn up the volume. If you look close, you might see me a few times in the background!
My favorite quote at the end of the video sums it up nicely.
“Le Mans is never the achievement of a single individual. We win together or we lose together…. WE WIN”
Audi always comes out with some very intriguing commercials for the NFL playoffs and Superbowl and this year is no exception. This year’s first commercial released by them is based on the charming children’s bedtime story “Goodnight Moon” that touts the praises the all new Audi A8. What an amazing commercial! Enjoy!

Audi USA president, Johan de Nysschen, gave us the unique opportunity to ask him some very pointed questions about the future of Audi in the USA. In particular our readers were very intrigued as to what cars we can be expecting and I am excited at the answers he gave.
The questions were from Audi’s Facebook and Twitter fans, QuattroWorld’s readers as well as Fourtitude’s readers. The funny thing was that when we compiled these questions most of our readers presented very similar questions. Our friend George Achorn who runs Fourtitude.com
had the honor of asking these questions to him on camera and Audi has edited and published this video to their YouTube page.
