The Audi R18 TDI claimed its first Le Mans overall victory on its maiden trip to 24 hours of Le Mans. The race was spectacularly emotional, as two of the R18s ended their races prematurely in spectacular wrecks. However the pole sitting #2 R18 TDI fought a hard battle against 4 Peugeots all by itself and in the end won a victory by the very narrowest of margins with only a 13 second lead. Perhaps Dr. Ullrich said it best, “It was just mountains and valleys of emotions for all of us.” This video recap does an amazing job of capturing this experience and giving you a small glimpse into what it is like at Le Mans.
