APR has been talking about their progress with the B8 S4 chip tuning program but we have yet to see anything of substance to back this claim up. That was until today when APR CEO Stephen Hooks posted some exciting dyno charts on the QuattroWorld B8 S4 discussion forum. They show an astounding 70+ wheel horsepower gain at redline and notable gains throughout the entire rev spectrum. It is exciting times for the B8 S4 crowd and the anticipation of new mods coming out reminds me of late 2000 when the B5 S4 was going through a similar phase. APR has already developed and released a nice exhaust system and have been working hard for months on end on perfecting the chip upgrade.
Having driven several B8 S4s in stock form, I can only imagine how perfect the cars must feel with this extra power, especially near the top of the rev limit where the car seemed to fall off a bit. These cars are extremely potent out of the box and with this extra horsepower they will be even more impressive. Pricing and availability are not available just yet, but I would expect an ETA to be announced soon. Yeah, I know… “2 weeks” right?

The Grand Prix of Trois Riveres marks the return of APR Motorsport’s Audi S4 in the GS Class and also celebrates the return of previous APR driver, Dion Von Moltke. The APR Motorsport Audi S4 is the first S4 to be raced in the world and in the the car’s debut season, it has already led multiple laps and has been a consistent top 5 runner. The team took a midseason break in order to further develop the car and are now looking to unleash their new developments this weekend on the tight and twisty streets of Trois Riveres. “The tight track, with low grip should really play to our strengths. Thanks to the Quattro all wheel drive, we get an excellent launch out of the corners” said APR Director of Motorsport Jeff Mishtawy. “Combine that with our awesome driver line up and the developments made back at the shop, and we should be contending for a victory!”

Every once in a while I come across a random twitter message or “tweet” that catches my eye. This one was from the SR Auto Group of British Columbia announcing the release of their matching “Militar” themed Audi R8 and Q7 which both feature a laundry list of mods and matching “Militar Grey” flat paint jobs. I can only imagine the look of awe the owner of this car gets when he shows of his matching Audis in his garage. Or the people at work who wonder if his R8 somehow transformed into a Q7 over night. The styling ques that match between the two vehicles is quite stunning. Both feature PPI products throughout as well as some notable performance upgrades. Here is a list of mods for each car as given to us directly from Tony the GM over at SR Auto Group. More pictures and a complete mod list for each car after the jump!

Audi USA has launched an online social media campaign broadcasting a petition they have set up to bring the TT RS stateside. Their campaign was launched via facebook and twitter. We are encouraging everyone who reads this to sign the petition today!
I would really like to believe that they are truly using this petition to make the decision, but I am guessing they are already deciding to bring it here and might just be having some marketing fun. Either way, based on the overwhelming response so far, I think they would have a PR mess on their hands if they don’t bring it over!
While we are on the subject of “cars we can’t have” here in the USA I think we should let Audi know about the other cars we’d like to see. Personally I’d rather see several of the cars on the list below a lot more than I’d like to see the TTRS available.
So Audi, if you are listening here are some other cars that we really REALLY want to see here in the USA. We’d like you to set up petitions for the following vehicles!

- Timo Scheider in fourth place is best Audi driver
- Mattias Ekström starts from pole but merely takes seventh
- Just two Audi A4 DTM cars in the points
Ingolstadt/Nürburg, August 8, 2010 – It is barely a year ago that Audi celebrated a commanding one-two-three-four victory in the DTM race at the Nürburgring. This time, the title defenders had to settle for places four and seven in the Eifel in front of a crowd of 86,000 spectators (throughout the weekend).
For the first time this season Timo Scheider was the best Audi driver. The reigning DTM Champion pushed forward from eighth to fourth place at the start. When attempting to fight for third, Scheider subsequently lost one position which he managed to recover, though, thanks to quick pit stops by Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline. Finishing the race in fourth place, the two-time DTM Champion just barely missed his first podium result of the year.
For Mattias Ekström, who had secured the pole position with a commanding performance on Saturday, the race did not go according to plan. The Swede dropped to seventh place at the start and was unable to improve again afterwards. In addition, he lost time due to a problem during the first pit stop. “As much fun as my car was for me yesterday as boring it was for me today,” commented the Swede. “We missed the mark on the set-up and were fighting with a dull weapon.”

Mattias Ekström shines in Audi A4 DTM
- Commanding pole position at the Nürburgring
- 0.395-second advantage over the second-fastest driver
- Audi on grid position one for the fourth consecutive time
Ingolstadt/Nürburg, August 7, 2010 – With an outstanding performance at the Nürburgring Mattias Ekström underscored his driving class and the qualities of the Audi A4 DTM: the Swede secured the pole position for the fifth DTM race of the year (live on “Das Erste” on Sunday, starting at 1:45 p.m., local time) with an advantage that is unusually large for the DTM.
In a racing series that is typically about thousandths of a second and in which the entire field most recently at the Norisring was within half a second the Audi driver was almost four tenths of a second faster in Saturday’s qualifying than the leader of the standings, Bruno Spengler. “My Audi A4 was absolutely perfect,” said the two-time DTM Champion and three-time winner of the “Race of Champions.” “If you find a good set-up at the Nürburgring, the lap time almost takes care of itself. That’s the way it was in my case today. And I’m also a little proud of myself for having managed perfect laps in both Q3 and Q4.”

The much anticipated Audi RS3 high powered hatchback was spotted in full Audi test setup in Austria. The lucky Audi fan that happened upon this car took several great photos and sent them in to autoliefhebber.com editors. Apparently he asked the test drivers about the car and got a very snappy response saying it is just an S3, but this Audi fan knew much better then that. In addition to the obvious testing equipment all over the vehicle, the car features a full roll cage and Recaro bucket racing seats. These are the types of mods you see on near production test cars and I won’t be surprised to see pictures emerge of this car on the Nurburgring soon! More pictures after the jump!
